Preliminary County Deer Advisory Council recommendations open for comment through April 12

Posted by

Hi Everyone:

I got this note from Chris Garber. I will ask Mike to forward to all of the DCCSC contacts.

They do ask on the On Line Public Comment about holiday hunts. It is critical that we oppose them as they will affect our riding season. I ask that we get as many of our members to click on the “on line public comment form” and fill it out and do so. The survey is fairly short, and easy to navigate.

Thanks to all!

Hi, Guys;

I got this in email today – not sure if you are on the list. If you go through the questions you will see that they are recommending holiday hunts in both Dane & Columbia Counties. You may remember from last year that these county councils have very few options – if the numbers say that they need to control the herd, they add a holiday hunt (Earn-a-buck is off the table). This is a chance for our members to weigh in on the holiday hunt question, as it stands to close off our trails – would suck if we had to close during the only rideable stretch in any given season.
